Hi Tony

Thanks for all the postcards still, they're fab.  As you can see from my name, still Miss Swan.  Getting married on Saturday 26th April, five weeks tomorrow and isn't the time just flying past now.  Everything is organised, just need to get it done with now and get on our honeymoon.  We've been engaged for 16 months so just want the day to arrive.  We're off to Hawaii and San Francisco and can't wait.  Sounds like you'll be home soon, let me know what your plans are.  Take care on your last leg.

Danielle

Dave Howell,
I'm glad to be round Agullas as it's having bad gales according to the weather forcast. Walvis bay is in the Narmid desert and back in the tropics. Much nicer.

Congrats on rounding Cape Aghulas!
Keep the great stories coming.

The weekend brought the sun to the NUSC compound and fitting out started in earnest! Most of us don't go more that a few hundred miles from base, but we still seem to have lots of boat jobs.

Wishing you fair winds.

Anchul,
You have been getting about. Glad you enjoyed Clumbia, I was put off by Americans and New Zeelanders who had never been there .The cruisers who whent were very well treated and one even married a Columbian girl called Omera.
Dont think the tankers you sailed in were all that safe remember explosians 20 years or so ago before they started travelling empty with inert gas in the tanks.
Tell Alan I wish I could go back to Gulmarg, they say it will be better organized this year and with the border being quieter its to be hoped there will be less of am Army presance. The thought of all that fabulas off peist makes me keen to go again.
By the way went to a game reserve and saw 4 of the so called big 5 so the Snow Leopard we saw sort of completed the set.

Hi Tony,

Glad to see you're doing well. The Titanic reference made me nervous. My oil tankers were 330 m long, & built like a rock
(that floats) :)

I returned from Medellin, Colombia on 3 Nov. It was a mind blowing experience: beautiful girls, friendly city, lovely weather! 20 Nov I was in Beijing on my next project. I return to Bangalore on 12 Jan. We're getting some snow, speaking of which- Alan is off to Gulmarg by himself in 2 weeks.

Bon voyage,
Anshul

Vidya and Kenneth,

It's cold and wet here in South Africa and I'm wearing Jeans and a sweet shirt much as if it were the UK. So as the storms of South Westerly wind are still very close together I am taking a leaf out of Kenneths book and re-sealing in all the windows with Sikaflex and waiting for a good weather window. The Spannish Strole is here with Jim and Barbara, all the other cruisers are new but just as friendly and helpfull. Don't know where I'll be for Christmas but if the 3 days of Northerly winds is then I will be at sea trying to get around the Cape. Even the Bulk Carrier Captains are complaining about the weather here so the waves must be bigger than forcast. Which is worrying, I'll move round to Durban in about a week then set up for the 260 miles to East London.
Trust you are enjoying the Sweedish winter.
