Ben Hodgkiss,
I am going to Madira (Funchal) tomorrow. Where are the web cams GPS co-ords would be best but a bearing and distance from fixed points such as harbour entrace lights will do.

Well done on geting to Porto Santos.  Try and get to Madeira itself it is well worth a visit.  Plenty of cheap fish restaurants in the harbour and by the Cathedral.  Also take the cablecar up to Monte and come down in a wicker basket. best wishes for the next leg.

Tony,

When you get to Madeira there's a load of web cams round the harbour

so can you let us know where you're parked? Try and light a fire on deck or something to make it really obvious!

Hi Tony,
What seems to be the problem with the phone? It may be that you are nearing your monthly credit limit, don't forget you made a lot of phone calls trying to sort out your camera. Is that sorted yet? I'll tell Peter where you are when I see him. Let me know if I can be of any help.

Hi Tony, really glad to hear everything's going well. Any chance you'll be in the Canaries in October? We're planning a half term holiday in Fuerteventura. Good luck and 'steady on the winds'!

Hi, Tony, It looks as if the PC isn't set up to work with the camera.  The only thing I can think of for your photos is either to speak to the owner and see if they can set it up for you, or see if a Photo Developer Shop can put the photos on a CD - if you post it back here we can upload them for you.

Sorry I can't be of more help!

Hi Tony,
I see you haven't got the photos off the camera yet. When you plug the camera you should find a new disk drive in My Computer. Just double-click through the folders until you get to the pictures.

Hi Tony, Log in, go to Photograph gallery and click the "Browse" button, then look in My Computer and you should have a disk drive for the camera there - go into that and your photos should be in there.

Good luck, and don't do too much work!

Tony, As you will see more 'Killer Whales' - the proper name is Orca.
Have you a spell checker? I will be following with great interest

Hi Tony.  Pleased to hear you got to Spain in one piece.  At that rate you'll be back in time for the table 1 Christmas extravaganza (next June). Be lucky.

Well done Tony for getting across the Bay of Biscay.  First hard bit over.  Enjoy Spain.

I enjoyed our "reunion in Bristol and seeing your home for the next three years.  Glad to hear you crossed the B of B safely and enjoyed reading about your experiences.  Good luck with the rest of fitting-out in Spain and then the next leg of your voyage.  I am looking forward to your progress reports.
