Tony, I trust all is going well and you have fair winds. Bumped into Steve Thomson in Belmont Tesco's yesterday and he told me about your epic adventure and your web-site. Pam & I shall follow your progress with great interest. Cariad looks to be an excellent craft and I'm sure she will support you in all the challenges that lie ahead.. Keep safe and enjoy the experience of a lifetime. Best wishes also from our son Russell (remember darts at Schaffen Diest, and instructions to look out for 2 ditched Cubs mid channel?)... Rule Britannia!

Emma.
At last you have got on line. Many congratulations to you and Laura Elisa Antonioni and your M.I.C.E. (I told you not to worry and that you had passed first go). Give my very best wishes to Dave Geoge and all the Ladsand thanks for keeping me in touch.

Sarah,
At last you have done it and made the brack to N.Z. (my brother in law moved there in 1970) He has done much better with his buisiness in Palmerton North than he would have in England and never regrets moving.

Greetings, Tony, from English Bicknor.  We met you on the airfield with Bruce and Wendy back in June a few weeks before you left.
Glad to see from your web-site that the journey is going to plan (more or less).  We shall enjoy logging in to keep track of you.
Best wishes and continued good luck!

Great to hear about your trip.  I have finally left the Council and am currently in New Zealand for 12 months.  Are you planning to get to NZ at all?  If so, it would be good to catch up with you.

Tony, try logging in with the username tony+meakinsworld.org.uk and the same password as before, give me a ring if you still have problems.  Also try copying the Spanish (note the spelling!) error message onto here so I can see it.

There's a message from Acer saying your request has been received, directing you to find their regional office at global.acer.com/support/index.htm.  There's a message from the Maritime and Coastguard Agency confirming your order, and also one from the Registry of Shipping about the boat.

Tony,

Had a baby girl, 8lb 3oz, Laura Elisa Antonioni.  We are all doing well although she managed to turn up 15 days late and had to be forced out by C Section.

Went to Great George Street last Monday to collect my chartership certificate.  Thank you for all your help, support and encouragement.

I will bring the baby to see you when you come home.

Emm

P.S. I hear the blokes on site are missing you although they are not as worried now when a plane flies over.

Hi Tony, hope you're having a good voyage. Stay away from the pirates, and watch out for those local women! All the best.

Made it to Santa Cruz de Tenerife and will be here for 30 days. It was rough when I left but the waves didn´t get to more than about 3M high.

To all,
Many thanks for the messages, so many of you are only just getting the details of the site. Great to hear from you, Í´ll try to write a better log possibly by doing it on the palm and downloading later.

Technical:-
My problems are all about generating electricity most of the obvious solutions like solar panels, wind generators, droge generators have seriouse defficiencies (one navigation light bulb of 25 watts requires a solar panel of at least 0.75 square metres to power it and there are several lights to run)  so I just try to use as little electric as possible charging with the engine alternator, shore power and my 950 watt petrol generator. The little solar chagers are good for AA battries and the phone but I don´t trust them with the palm.
To-morrow I leave for Tenerife (see progress) where it may be possible to get a 100% reliable none mains charger for it??
