Happy New Year to you Tony and hope youre well ;o)
Just read your logs,(not checked your website since november as been busy/drunk!) very interesting reading, and youre obviously loving every minute of it. Very busy here sorting out the bridge management software and getting 2004 maintenance lists sorted etc etc, starting north inspections in March so i can get lost all over again! Dave and George have been realy helpfull and have told me plenty of stories about you (all good of course). Could do with a complete download from your brain if possible please as i have 100`s of queries that only you would know the answer too! ;o)
As per usual, due to it being friday, i will partake in a few pints of spitfire and one or two london prides in your honour later. Best of luck to you Tony and keep up with the logs.
Kindest Regards
Rob

Cariad is going well with quite a few repairs done at Bequia over Christmass I am now at Tobago were it rains every day, yesterday we got soaked through twice. The rain is very light until you get in the dinghy then when you are 100 metres off shore a tropical storm arrives, the other trick is the harbour master telling you to be at a set place in the docks to take on water and arranging a storm to break at the same time. Hope you are using the sledge if you have snow.
Love Tony

Wish I had had your E address in June when I was in Bristol Marina, Hope you are well and good to here from you.

KEITH MEAKIN

The phone won't text or recieve here in Tobago. So left a message on your phone to say I am at Scarborough harbour and will be at the airport on Sunday evening to meet you. If you get lost Cariad is on the northside of the harbour with 2 other yachts.Looking forward to seeing you both have a good journey.

Chris & Karen,
Hope the cub is performing OK if its cold throw some fuel in the airfilter before sucking in 8 or 12 this does the trick but Gilbert will say it can devalue the filter but there is very little dust in the winter, just change the filter in May.

Gill
I cleared out all my old PFA mags before leaving and I haven't seen the arrtical either.

Rory
Go up to Eastbach airfield on any sunny Sunday afternoon and see Bruce Morgan. You didn't get flown before because you were likly to get hooked and were in no possition to afford lessons (3,000 pounds) but now you can and may very well make a good pilot.

Hi tony, just found out about this site, it's ace. All photographs are brill but it's going to take me a while to catch up on the text of your journey. Nice to see a picture of the "Cub", I would still sooner go up in that again with you than sail the seven seas. All the best! (Rory ex of A J Kirby & son)

What's this I hear?  You are going through the Panama Canal!  Where's that then?  Thought you would go through the Morth West Passage, the South West Passage or the Magellan Straits! There's no Quiz this year - must have known you would not be there.  Look out for the Pelicans. Best Wishes Anne and Paul.

Mark Morgan,
Christmass weather was great but now we are having a few wet days.
Flying fish are very tasty but a bit small so you need 3 for a good breakfast. I fry them if the sea is calm or grill if it's up and down.

Graham
Great to here from you and hope you are all O.K. I am off to inspect the Panama Canal in a couple of months so there could be a lot of pointing and replacement of stones (pity the management scraped the stone saw as it's the sort of contract Jervis would go for).
Cariad is a bit plain inside but keeps up with the bigger New Zeland and Austrailian boats especially if the wind is around 15 knots.

Ann and Paul Rivett,
Trust you enjoyed Madira, some of the round the world yahts from N.Z. & Aus missed out Madira but those that went to Funchal still have a great affection for it as you can see from the wall paintings. Most of the Sandanavian boats ended up with me at Bequia for Christmass at a big lunch is given every year by a local Norwegian resident.

Sarah Reed,
Thanks for the good wishes, still have your cup in the mug rack.Hope you got that sledge in action.

Gill Davies
Give Rachel a hug and make shore she knows we are all demanding she stays well.

Matt
Thanks for contacting the Hereford Times the contact is Philipa May.
If Peter K would just send a one word text I could contact him. Trust thinks are quieter now.

Have taken a picture of your painted sign in Funchal harbour.  It was very windy whilst we were there but just a good as ever.  Especially the fireworks.  Good picture of you in Hereford Times.
Best of luck
