Mark Turley (Grails, Cinderford).
The stainless steel frame is great and has been tested and found to do it's job. Please give my thanks to all who worked on it and John Brown will buy them a beer which he can put on my account.

Hi Tony.  Anxiously waiting for more pix to see the world through your peepers, or is what you are up to unprintable? How is the new anchor winch performing? Ken.

Hello Tony,
Thought I had better send you some conmgratulations and express my support for your endeavours! Glad you were able to meet up with Alex - he is getting a bit salty with his old age now! We had a super rtime in Tobago last August (his mum Sue (teacher at Ashfield Park), my two girls (Nicola and Susie) my mum (Pauline) and her friend (Pat) - Lauren his sister was already out there and after 21 years they actually managed tio survive several weeks together in that old tin tub called of all things "Fanny Magnet" - their fathers sense of humour. Alex's dad is Martin Edwards a'la Red Lion at Madley - traffic lights and things. Anyway keep up the good work and well done - take care and enjoy yourself.

Regarding our earlier conversation today I have the following information for you.

2. Card Services have agreed to temporarily increase your card limit from £4500.00 to £9000.00 for a period of three days until these funds arrive.

3. Card Services advise they should be contacted after the 16 February in order to change your Direct Debit facility from minimum to maximum repayment. As you mentioned you have problems in contacting Card Service by phone, therfore, if you contact ourselves on 0044 1534 616000 our representatives will be more than happy to contact to Card Services at any point after the 16 February.

Buonas díaz, Tony.  Good to hear from you last night. I can confirm that the process described by your brother only changes things like the keyboard layout and the characters you see when you type on the screen. So for example if you select Italian the [ key prints è and the ; key prints ò. Sadly it doesn't change the operating system language so messages, menu items etc. etc. will still be in Spanish.
The following link is the best I can find http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/expert/honeycutt_03april28.mspx but it looks as if the Multi User Interface Pack is not actually available to download or purchase.
The page http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/DrIntl/faqs/Locales.mspx explains how locales work but I don't think it will help you.  So either you can get hold of an English Windows XP install or learn Spanish.  It would have been worse if you had bought the laptop in Japan or Korea.
Bonne chance, Jim.

Hi, home & back to work with a vengance. Very tired, jet lagged & looking for sunshine. Sitting here with a glass of rum & coke, doesn't taste as good as it did at 31c, but working on it. Keith had to work 24 hours yesterday so 2 weeks holiday seem a distant memory. Hope everything okay with you. Sian still waiting to pop! Emily got a placement at a good school, 840 applicants only 110 places. She is delighted!

Sarah Reed,
When it comes to crashing sledges,
        Force(the hurt factor) = Mass x Acceleration
So I sujest you go steady ( not too steep slopes) and leave your dad to crash on his own. Bet you had a great time.

Keith & Pam,
Thanks for the info I will try it.
Trust you got back OK if a bit jet lagged.

Peter Kerby
Thanks for all the info. it's great to hear whats going on at home. The weed and barnacles here grow so fast you can see them get worse as you watch, in 17 days you go from no barnacles to a metres square on the waterline with shells its amassing. The passage to Panama is not decided as this is pirate country and I want to sail in company. Also my shoulder has been playing up but I have just started a course of 7 sessions of massage and dispersal therapy which will work.I will send details for Gill as the system is similar to what she did 3 years ago but also finds all the weak mussels and uses streaching and massage to strengthen them, so I can manage the anchor (though I am also fitting an electric winch). My weight is now 11 stone and I am a lot fitter generaly.

Hi Tony!

Is Keith and Pam still on board? If they are tell them i said hello! Thanks!

Last Sunday we went sledging near Hay on wye the sledge works Great!
Untill dad came on with me and we crashed, the sledge and i are still in one piece! the snow was thick so we went really fast, it was great fun!

Tony, there is nothing wrong with your computer. To switch from Spanish to English is a simple process.
1) Click on START
2) Open SETTINGS
3) Open CONTROL PANEL
4) Open REGIONAL SETTINGS
5) Click on the drop down pick list which will give you a choice of many languages. If you want a challenge you could chose Swahilli however we think you would fare better with English.
Hope you've managed to stop the dingy leaking. I think our clothes are just about dry now, it would have been much easier to have gone with our original plan to dump our gear in an appartment & bring an overnight bag when we landed, then you would not have been overwhelmed with all our bags.
If you are still having problems obtaining a winch, try the yellow pages, there are quite a few agents in Port of Spain.
Nights are very hot here, thank goodness for the cooling air of A/C
Will pass on your regards to Cherill at Columbos.
If Peter Kirby needs my phone number it is 07764 905368

Hi Tony, Good to hear you on Monday.  You sounded in good form.  Received your last two emails 20/01 and 25/01.  Sounds as if you had two interesting passages to get to Trinidad especially bunkering for water in Tobago, must have been quite dodgy for a time.
I would like to contact Keith when he gets home.  Perhaps you could give him my telephone number or give me his.
We've had some rough weather lately, force 8, gusting 10 the other day with some snow.  Its now calm but very cold north easterly winds.  I have left Stargazer in the water this time.  The paint scheme seems to be standing up well so no need to dry dock her.  Saw the captain the other day.  He sends his best.  We are all OK including all the animals, no lambs yet.
The carnival sounds good which reminds me we are getting Simon and Kevin up to the Till on the 16th of September for some Jazz.  I'm plotting your progress on the map.  Your passage to Panama looks interesting.  Are you planning any interesting stop overs on the way and where are you making for when you get to the Pacific?
Well that's all for now.  All the best and take care.
