Cannot get to Chile, no El Nino this year so I would be into a 5 knot current. Will be at Alagna for lasgna 1st week March 2007 (even if I have to fly from the middle east).
If I buy a digital camera can the pictures be E mailed to you?? This is what I wanted to do initially but it was too complicated for me to do with my limited IT skills. There is a duty free zone here so cameras are good value and I now have a lap-top to set up the photos in my own time.

Have written to Peter and Gill, Thanks for the message.
Emma
Will get to your site now I have reasonable priced internet (it was 8$US at Araba but only 0.75$US here).

Happy Easter Tony.
'Till regulars will raise a glass to you over the weekend.
Les
I have just checked picture page and your latest pics are not there! They should be and I will check with Jamie to find out why not! You can send future pics direct to me if you want and I can scan them straight to the site. I did post all of your latest pics though!
Are we still on for Alagna in 2007? Must get Steve into training. You also want to ski Chile if you can, that is where the Italian ski team train during the summer!
Tony
I was thinking, if you really have a problem with your phone you should be able to buy a SIM card in whatever country you are in, and it should work in your phone. Happy Easter.
Sorry to stick my twopenneth in again. A transformer only transforms AC. I think you mat need a dropper restance for DC. Those tablets are still working well.
Peter and Gill Kirby,
Will write to you as soon as I have sorted out the Panama Canal. Shipping agents keep que jumping so as only 3 yachts a day go through it is going to take 2 to 3 weeks to get through. So should have time to catch up on leters etc.
The blue warps have been in almost constant use at docks all over the Carribean and will soon be in the Pacific.
Have put on my big Genoa as the winds to the Galapagos are supposed to by very light.

There is a universal power supply available in the UK I know this because Dave (son-in-law) has one. It transforms 12 volts to the power supply required for a computer his is universal ie;- it will power any computer because it has multiple ends. I will try to find a source and contact you if I'm successsful. Keith & Pam

It must be possible to reduce 24 volts to 19.3 without an inverter where do I get this transformer ????
Matt
Glad you had a good holiday need picture of Lotty on sledge. Will try to phone, time is getting messy now Im in zone plus 5 hours.
Tony
I'll ask Frank & Isa about the girl from Crosshaven when we go over in the summer. About your phone, visit http://www.virginmobile.com/mobile/services/abroad/paymonthly/pay_monthly_zone_countries.jsp for a complete list of where your phone will work. The skiing was great and I hope to get Steve there next year for lessons. Valmorel has an atmosphere like Gressony with similar skiing to Courcheval. Will post some pics soon. Sorry it's taken so long to get your photo's on, but they're there now. Good luck with Panama. By thye way yoour phone won't work until you get to Columbia and Chile. Should have worked in Trinidad & Tobago.
Best of luck through the Panama. Watch out for the pelicans and the pirates. Sounds a bit warm there although we have actually had a Spring day today and all the daffs are out. Best wishes Anne and Paul.
most computers will run on 110 volts dont try putting 24 volts into a 12volt inverter it will go bang
Have had to buy a 110 volt inverter. Hoped to drive the 19.3 volt computer off 24 volts DC but not hardware available.
Tony
Hi Tony. Beware Keith's electrical info. That was not Ohm's law, nor was it the formula derived from it. Amps times volts equals watts. Sorry Keith but I dont want any fires at sea, although Tony may be a shining light. Keep taking the tablets Tony.
I don't think it's possible to run your laptop on 12 volts as it is undoubtedly a higher voltage. You don't say what you're powering when the fuse went, remember Ohms law, amps over volts = watts! I have a copy of XP professional if you let me know where to send it I'll post it to you. Thanks for the carnival programme, PS we ran out of run weeks ago.
Keith Meakin
Can I use 12 volts (13.8 max) to power the laptop in an emergency, the alterative is 9.25. I may have a problem with the inverter which blew a 35 amp fuse yesterday.
Joanna Brown
Many happy returns.

Hi have done lots of modifications, things like big solar panels so I now have lots of electricity, I also have radar and a radio that recieves short wave signals used by cruising yahts for chating ask your dad to tune in to 14303 (used around the UK) and 8104, 8122 (Caribean nets). There is a lot more rigging which gets in the way but could be essential in a storm.
BLUEFINE,
So you are still at Trinidad, I am with "Star of the west" & "Candidas" moving slowly towards Panama. Good to hear from you, read my progress reports for more info.
TONY
