I've updated the map for you and am now getting the pictures on, broadband is brilliant. Do you mean 2005/2006 or 2006/2007 for skiing?
Matt

Exact co-ordinates are 13 50' S 171 46'W. and West USA ski areas would be OK as well as Geneva area.
Tony
To All,
Thank you for all the messages it's realy nice to get all your news after the lack of internet facilities. Costs in French Polynesia were a nightmare. There are stories of british honeymoon couples in Tahiti running out of money after a couple of days and beaging for food as there packages only included petit degena.

Why do I have to defend a bunch of mostly foriegn (Well none English) loosers to all these Kiwis around here. I just don't think they understand that England and not some tame old Lions are the world champions with the N. Z. team trailling far behind when the chips were realy down.
Star of the West, Candedus, Libbel, Pucka Bell and Thata, see you.
Sarah Pennington
Congratulations, hope Amy Jane hasn't been giving you too much stick over the Lions Tour. May make it to the Bay of Islands (top end of the north island) for the Cyclone Season.
Anne Rivett,
Time flies when your having fun.
Peter Kirby,
Many thanks for all the news. It's time you fitted M.V. Stargazer with 4.5"s or some torpedo tubes, that Oliver Cromwell is getting too too impudent. Most gratified to here my favourite replica airplane has crossed the pond again after 86 years, I thought it had been bought by Cansi Airport in Japan and was hanging from the entrance hall roof by a wire, Steve Fosset must have liberated it (thank you Steve and well done).

Thanks for the Googal Earth info. many be Jamie could link it to this web site map??

Very pleased that Tony's cub and Steak are back at the top field where they belong.
I presume that Tony will now be flying applicants accros the Stiks, so I better stay in this world a bit longer.

Hi Tony
Well, They all voted me in as chairman up at spence airfield,Mark Taylor is now a director so is Adrian Pearce. Glad to hear your voyage is going OK. I hope the money for your share caught up with you ok. Our annual Bar-B-QUE last weekend was a washout, No airplanes arrived but 62 people turned up by road. I am not sure if you will have heard that Tony Liddiard passed away, Some three months ago or so. Steak & Ray Dance have bought his cub and now have a share in the field.
Graham
Hi Tony,
Many Congratulations on your 1st epic year. Many years ago when when we both worked for Hereford and Worcester CC I remembered you telling me that when you retired you would sell your plane and swap it with a yatcht on which you would sail around the world. I had no doubt that you would in fact do it!
I must say that I admire your single mindedness and sense of adventure and I look forward to reading more reports from you in due course (more photos would be good too).
I dont know whether you are aware of 'Google Earth' which has just been released but if you have not I an sure you would find it immensly useful. It is a free download from Google and you can see any part of the earth from a combination of satellite and aircraft pictures. In most locations you will get enough definition to see individual buildings and vehicles. It would be useful for you to zoom in on any island that may be on your itinary so that you can find the best anchoring locations. Im sure you will be amazed by its usefulness to you. Enjoy!
Bye for now
Malcolm

Congratulations on your 3000 miles crossing to the Marcasas and Hiva Oa. Sounds as if Cariad is coping with the big seas and is looking after you OK. I am plotting your progress on the world map I bought in the map shop in Hereford before you left. You are now appearing on the right side of the map which seems to me you will be just about half way at Tahiti in 12 months, well done!!!!
Went to Upton 24/25/26 June. Usual bands, Lamorotte, Denise Laurence, Super band from Denmark, Bla Mandag Jazz Band you would have liked, also super pianos. Spike Bottorill you would have appreciated, Sir Allen, Bob Kerr, East Street Owls, Kenny Ball, Acker Bilk, Pasadena Roof Orchestra you would not have gone on these. Unfortunately Mellow or Joy were not there this time nor Simon and Kevin. S & K are coming to the Till in September so we are all looking forward to that. The Marstons and Banks were up to their usual in the Plough and Kings Head and at £2.20 a pint still good value, so I had an extra one or two on you.
I have now got the full hay making equipment. The mower, hay bob and bailer and have made the best hay I have ever made, with the help of Billy Morgan, Les and Gordon. Incidentally the mower I bought from Bruce, the ex-airfield one, I expect you remember it.
Had an incident with the Oliver Cromwell the other day. Apparently her Bow Thruster failed when she was approaching Sellars Bridge and had no steerage and hit Stargazer, mainly superficial damage but required a week in dry dock at A & D Marine. Damaged the timber rubbing strake on the starboard side and pusher her into the side requiring a paint job. I seem to e doomed with the O.C. as you will remember. You may be interested to know that the Vimy has just completed a Trans Atlantic crossing from Newfoundland to Ireland successfully piloted by Steve Fossett and Mark Rebholz.
I'm going to Fairford this coming weekend with Simon. The theme this year is surveillance aircraft so should see some interesting planes. Incidentally there was a V.E. day celebration last weekend and a fly past over London with five DH Rapides, three Dacks, two B17, a catalina and the memorial flight with the Lane dropping 100,000 poppy petals, quite spectacular.!!
We are all ok. Have had some very hot weather lately 84/86o and very humid. We get your emails from sister-in-law Jane so please keep them coming. We look forward to hearing all about your adventures on the sea and on the land. Safe sailing and all the best.
Love, from, Porgy, Bess, Jack, Josh, Gill and Peter
Hi Tony,
Sarah Pennington had a baby girl Amy Jane 9lbs on the 6th July. (Hi Sarah if you read this!). There's a photo at:

Ben
Is it a year already that you have been gone. It doesn't seem that long.
Time flies when having fun.
Anne
Tony,
Glad to hear you've made it OK to Polynesia. In case you haven't heard the British Lions have now left New Zealand so you're safe to move on.
Ben
Jim Forsyth
It's spelling Jim but not as u know it.
Tony
Hey, Tony! Delighted to hear you're still afloat and enjoying yourself. That's waaaay the best spelling of yucalally I've seen in my life! Are you still using the Spanish spell check? Buon viaggio!
Peter Hill
I most definitly do remember u, I helped with the survey of a little bridge in Kidderminster (by Brintons) that u designed the strengthening for. Plus David Evans (who I never hear from now as he's got gardners fingers and can't type any more) said u were doing well at the Highways Agency. Good luck and I'll do more reports and photos when I get out of this expensive area.
Ann Rivett,
Le Tucks are still carrying poor people like me from the Quay (where I am moored) to Carefore for shopping.
Stan Morton
Good to see your still blaming Andy Middlecott for your lack of memory. It's a very hard life here sitting in the sun at Tahiti planning the next trip (to Samoa via Bora Bora and the cook islands) but I shall endevour to cope.
Haven't been to Clethorps since 1949 is it still wet, windy and a bit fishy??
Use this web site to pass messages I don't think I have an Email address. Simmon Banks is back at The hostelrie in September u should go, so contact Peter Kirby for tickets.
Tony
Shiver me timbers Tony how are u shipmate?
I missed y'r bash at the Hostility pub due to that w****r Andy M*ddlec*** not telling me it was on but never mind
I sent u some email not long after y'd lost sight o Plymouth Ho!!
but never heard 'owt of ya
but then you always were quite rude as I recall : )) - forthright did u say? yep that'll do Tony lol
No doubt you are battling mountainous seas, mountainous women or mountainous publicans on y'r intrepid trip o'er the briny
The weather here has been scorching much hotter than wherever you are so there
Drop us a line or throw us one (suit y'rself shipmate) would be nice to hear how things are. I threw a bottle with a message in the sea but the sailor ducked so I missed im (That was at Cleethorpes)
Kindest regards
Stan Yr Bridges oppo
Do they still have those funny buses in Papeete like a trailer on a lorry? I'm going back about 30years when I was passing through. It was a beautiful island then. Every shack had a T.V. aerial and an American car outside. How long will you stay there.
Anne
Tony, You probably don’t remember me from Hereford and Worcester County Council, but Malcolm Ennis has just told me about your trip and website. I hope all is going well and we will keep an eye on your progress. You are a very brave man. Best of luck. Peter
