I have sent at least 100 photos on discs and none are on the site, some of the prints are on but there is nothing for Panama and Galapagos where some realy good photos where taken, Especialy by the guy up the mast in the locks on the yacht behind us. Please try to get them on and in a format that people can access easily.

Hi Tony, I got your postcard.  If you're having trouble with uploading photographs then Matt is right, it's easier to post them. I'll look at a different way of indexing them for you, I can group them by month, but some of them will have incorrect dates.

Good luck - glad to see you haven't sunk!

The easiest way to get the photos on the website is to get them put on CD and post the cd to me, or scan them as jpeg's and email them to me at info (at) ye-hostelrie.co.uk (they don't need to be to high resolution so the files won't be that big.) and I'll upload them for you.

Got a good price for Kyanwa 23K! not bad considering I only paid £18500. I've done the Bay of Biscay 3 times so should be okay. Are you going to be in one place for any length of time, if so we can get some shoes to you. Unable to get texts, as my numbr has changed to 07979 701302 (work) or 07778 532587 (pers, but not switched on very often)The day we picked the cat up we brought straight from Chichester to Bristol in a 6 day sail & then won Best Sail Boat category in the Bristol Harbour festival! not bad out of 50 - 60 boats. Pam now has 1200 miles under her belt. I still have some pictures of you in Trinidad if matt tells me how to put them on the web site i can do it, or send them to him. All the best, Keith & Pam

Hope you got a good price for Kawana?? cats are very popular in the Caribean as you saw at Trinidad. Get 2 good, experienced crew for Bay of Biscay the rest is day sailing to south Portugal where you learn to handle the boat and sort out your own best way to manage before starting to Porta Santa. You learn as you go make sure the boat is comfortable and safe up to 40 knots of wind. Take care of the lower hatch 2 cats had them fail crossing while I was there.

Have run out of shoes (only boots and flip Flops left, am very happy at Suvasuva but it's well in the Cyclone belt and a long way from South Africa so I keep thinking about moving closer to Torres Straights to lay up. Cariad is improving as I now have skilled electrical and mechanical engineers locally if I can relocate some of the kit into sealed new lockers and reduce the amount of gear carried it will make a Cape of Good Hope passage possible so will see you in the Caribean 2007 if not before.
Have you recieved my texts???

Hi, Remember me, I'm your long lost brother, now the owner of a BIGGER boat than you! With 2 hulls. Bought a 10m Veneema (Dutch) cat in July, 4 cabins, 9 berth hot & cold en suite showers, proven long distance cruising boat. Will be testing it next year when we go to the Carribean. Unlike most modern cats the windage is low. Doing lots of short trips at the moment to troubleshoot it. It's BLOODY wide! Excellent fun in Cardiff barrage, hope you are well. Have you got some new shoes yet? We are going to Southampton boat show Sept 16th. Has your new rigging arrived? If you had a level 4 boat handling, you'd be able handle Horrible Dingy!!! Remember you're supposed to be the skipper, not IT! Threaten it with a hole cutter.

Great to hear you got back OK, if Saoirse has taken as much stck as Cariad you will doing some maintance. Give my regards to Dermott and co. in Westport (THANK THE SEA ANGLING CLUB FOR THERE SIGN WHICH HELPED A LOST PILOT FIND SLIGO).
This Pacific is a big Ocean with 1,000 mile legs becoming just short hops. Winds are similar to the Cape Verdes to Barbados but waves are generally bigger. You must come through Panama next time and cruise the western Pacific where it is much much less comercial than the Caribean.
Good Luck

Ann Rivett,
That was done about 3 years ago when Herefordshire could design and build it's own bridges so it only took a few months from conception to openning, with the bridge open to local traffic such as milk and bin lorries almost all the time. There are no longer any real bridge enineers working at Hereford it's all out to consultants.

Hi Tony
Trust you are well. Paul and I went walking yesterday on Ewyas Harold Common.  When we told them in the Til Howie said did we see the bridge with the red Tarmac.  We did actually because we sat outside the pub right opposite it.  It looks very special with black railings etc.  All the best

OK I will book it then we will probably pick you up from Moutiers as we will almost certainly fly to Chambery. It will be B&B in hotel in middle of resort, is that ok? I will book steve then tell him after so he has to come. I WILL MAKE SURE HE COMES WITH US! If you fly into Geneva you can get the train very easily to Moutiers.

Hi Tony, hows life with you? It's raining here now. I got your letter this morning, excellent stamps in Samoa, and have scanned and uploaded the photographs that were in it, I haven't done the cd yet as I want to go through it and pick out the best ones. There are a few too many on there to upload all of them to the website.
It will be interesting when you move on to see if the map route line wraps around the page or if it shows you suddenly reversing your course!
Matt

PS
You remember Anthony, well his girlfriend Gemma has just given birth to their son Matthew James Escott Francklin.

Howdey Doodle Dandy

Glad to hear you're still ticking along nicely, sounds like you're meeting some lovely people and thats good to know.  You'll be the next connoisseur on beer with all the sampling of far away brews or is it a case that every bar has the obligatory bottled Bud available?
All is well at home although I must have words with someone as I didn't know Simon Banks was playing at the Til until I read Peter's message so that will be jolly good.
Back in the shire of Hereford they are finally doing something about the eye sore garage ay Daf-y-nant services at Whitchurch (hurrah).  Safeway has changed to Morrisons (boo).  Another useless shop opened in Ross, did you hear that Jacqui Danter passed away - heart attack and sadly they still havn't painted over the terrible 'art' work at the front of her club.  As you can hear you're not missing much at hime but we all miss you.

Take Care, your postcard loving, black pearl wanting friend
Danielle xx
