Livio Bonollo,
Have looked through my photos of Fiji, but none have Roy on them . Sorry. To me he will always be an inspiration and an idea not a picture.
Tony
Tony, many thanks for your note about Roy. I've just spoken to Sheevaun in Noosa and they've had a lovely memorial today to Roy. Say hello whenever you're London or Southampton bound...and 1 or 2 photos when yu have achance would be great. Livio
Anne Rivett,
Seems like an eternety since I was at Madira. Glad to hear the boat sign is OK did another one in Australia at Bundaberg. Am in Phuket, Thailand its around 30 centigrade and it's the dry season with a cool NE wind at night. I still write progress reports as I move west. Hope all is going well not long till you can do some serious travelling. Good luck in the New Year.
Tony
Happy New Year Tony. You are somewhere nice and warm. Just got back from Madeira. The boat sign is still there. Council just about managing without you. Don't go to the pub much now.
Best Wishes Anne and Paul Rivett
Livio Bonollo,
There is a wake for Roy on Thursday in Noosa. Will look through my photos. It seems Roys body has still not been found so there cannot be a full funeral. Did Roy, Chevaugn and I spend a very plesant afternoon at your house a 5mile drive up the beach from the Noosa ferry??
Tony
Again sorry to pass on the bad news..Do you have any photos of Roy, Edi and Sheevaun? My email livio (at) jamesoliver.net
Hi, Tony, I'm Roy McKibbin's adopted nephew (also Edi's and Sheevauns from Noosa) living in London. I was searching for news and noticed your diary. I'm sorry to let you know Roy had drowned off the coast of Mackay whislt trying to free an anchor. As yet he hasn't been found. If you hear any news it would be greatly appreciated. I knoew Roy as a v. young boy and we're all very upset. With love Livio
Dave Howell,
Good to hear from you, do you know anyone who needs a set of very rusty spring shock moring lines as I have carried them threequaters of the way round the world and haven't used them.
I will check out the west system during this next week as I won't be putting Gelshield back on the hull. Trial area has bonded well and I hope to start work at the end of this month if the hull is dry???
Pity about the Gelshield job - can't get the staff these days! I had bottom paint problems with "Gem". What amazed me was that after much research & digging I found that 2 pack marine paint is NOT suitable for continuous immersion! Confirmed by both International and Blakes.
Also, West recommend adding barrier coat additive to their epoxy where subject to continuous immersion!
Happy New Year & cruising in 2007 from all at NUSC
Thank you for the good wishes all have a happy New Year.
I worked most of Christmass day on Cariad then had a picnic lunch on the grass in the sun with crews from 6 other boats, my Christmas Puds for afters. Will post a progess report in the New Year.
Tony
merry christmas and a happy new year all our love best wishes

Merry Xmas Tony and a happy new year from me, Dave and Martyn!
Enjoy your island paradise and try not to think of us freezing back here, the scaremongering environmentalists are predicting upto -15 in jan-feb! Although my dafs are starting to come up in my garden at home?????
All the very best for Xmas and the New Year. All is forgiven, you may come home! (in 2008/9)
Seasons greetings from a warm, sunny, and nowhere near up to our knees in mud, Usk.
Chris & Karen
Merry Christmass to you . Hows the cub doing, if she doesn't start in the cold weather throw a sample of fuel from the gasclator into the air intake, suck in 4 and she usually goes.
Matt
Thought Heather had worked you to death ??? If I can get some spare time I will try to make an internet connection at the Marina.
The phone which is very cheap internally in Thailand is very expensive for international calls.
Love to you all at Crediton.
Tony
Hi Tony,
Still following your progress.
All the best for Christmas and the New Year.
Chris & Karen (Cub)
Hi Tony,
Just a quick note, Ive been playing with Google Earth after I saw you've now got your progress plotted on it. That is way cool!
I've been offline for a while (I broke the computer). But now it's working again I'll email you a picture of Charlotte and Alex.

KHM,
I try not to talk to myself on long passages, but the ventriloquests dummy in the cabin keeps pratling on all the time.
Martin
Great to hear from you it's quite warm in Thailand a cool aberystwyth breeze would be nice. Regards to Nick.
Steve and Christine Williams
Phone works here OK and I can text Matt in Crediton. You have got the new Thailand number and code ??? It can't be Christmass as it's 35 C and the shops are normal.

The Royal Puket Marina is now my home for the next 3 or 4 months. With local help ( 10 pounds a day) I have stripped the hull right back to the glass fiber, not as difficult as it sounds because the fancey Gel Shield waterproofing systeme put on 4 years ago at a cost of 6 to 7,000 pounds haden't bonded to the glass and polyester hull. If only they had left the Gelcoat on there would have been no problems as the boat never had osmosis. The Toe rail has to be replaced lots of work done in the cabin and sun awnings made, engine out rudder and skegg repaired and lots more.
Have to sort out imigration in the next 2 weeks and sort out a Thai bank account. So please excuse me for not up dating the web site as often as usual.
