Hello Tony,
We met long ago in Funchal, my boat was next to yours, and, for you to remember, she was the italian boat with a large library in english, as you noticed in your post. We had great time chatting and drinking in our cockpits and I have very nice memories of those days. Today, perusing old papers belonging to the boat I found your card. I could not resist, I looked for your website and I found it with great pleasure. I learnt you are still sailing while I had to interrupt my trip in 2005. But now I'm back into the old bussiness and in one month time I'll be leaving Sardinia bound to South America.
It's been so nice to hear of you and I wish you all the best.

Dear All,
Have made it to Brazil, what a difference from St. Helena. No more Vindhook lager beer and believe it or not the local made White Lion rum in St. H. is much better than any Rum I have had in Brazil. The tiny village of Jacare (it means alligalor in Portuges) has a population greater than St. H but it doesnt have its own government, assembly, 14 island councilers and hundreds of civil servants and public works operatives. So its not so clean and tidy but the food is a third of the price and they all seem well feed and happy.
Will do a report on the journey in the next 2 weeks before I set off for Devils Island to see how Papillon (Steve Macqueen) escaped.

Steve Williams,
Thanks for your invaluable help in Ross, pass as much as you can on to Pam my sister in law, but keep a set of keys.

Website

Dear All,
Dango, we were all pleased to hear you arrived OK including Emerald who stupidly locked you up with the Chief secretaries permission. Am off to Brazil (Caba Delo) in 6 weeks time so remote chance we may meet again. Good Luck.
Sarah, Sent you a postcard on the last ship did you get it???
Anne & Paul, great to hear your back at the Til. Can you still hold your cards with the broken wrist. I have set up a bridge register here, done inspections and budget for them but doubt that much will get done till there’s an accident The money covered my material costs doing CARIAD up ready for the next move 1,800 miles to Brazil in December.

Hi Tony
Glad to see you are well and getting some work.
We have gone back to the Til to play crib after 3 or 4 years.  It looks a bit different but not too much.
Things are changing in the Council and we have to move from Swan House by February but nobody knows where yet.
At present I am at home with a broken wrist which is very boring.  Hope things continue to go ok.

Hey Tony,

itīs Tango, Lithuanian, been in jail in St. Helena, remember me? :) We made 2270 miles in 17 days to Cabo Verde, Mindelo, all was fantastic, skipper was good guy and no storms. Now I am waiting here for a yacht to Latin America. How is it on the island? Thanks again for all your help!

Francisco,

I have been following in the footsteps of Prince Henry's navigators ever since I left Faro.
First it was the Cabo Verde islands then Sao Tome, Princip and now St Helena fond by Joan da Nova in 1610. Maybe you could look them up at school. Glad I went to Batalia where Henry is imortalized.
Good luck and have you been back to were we met at that lagoon just north of Penice????

Tony

Graham Godfrey-White

Am sending a letter so you should get it in about a month. It goes by yacht to Brazil then post to Clive. The internet here is very bad and expensive.

We have just put Rogerstone on the market, and are getting ready for a move, still in Clive hopefully, got to go we have a viewing at 4 o clock. regards Graham.
